This Christmas we were given a case of oranges, this is one of the smells of christmas that is very comforting to me and I love to reach to the bottom of my sock and find the juicy orange.
Although this is a wonderful gift, it is often difficult for the three of us to get to the bottom of the case without there being one or two that go bad. I have been looking for a solution.
I have been using bottled juices for "My Kids" and today decided to break out the old juicer and make some home squeezed orange juice. It was such a novelty and raised so many questions, and comments. My favorite was from Gavin, "I'm sorry you don't have enough money to buy your orange juice at the store." Megan asked several times why I didn't just get it out of the frig.
I am so grateful for the memories I have of my Parents making Christmas breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice and all the other times we could get the Big Old Juicer out of the Bottom Cupboard. Put it all together to use, make wonderful juices. Then we had to take it apart and clean all the parts make sure everything was there and put it away for another day.
