About Us

Don and Susan met 41 years ago last October, when Don was dating Susans' older sister, Paula. Don left the next Spring to serve his country and complete his Army Reserve Unit Basic Training, in Texas and Arizona. While he was away Susan started to write and send cards and packages. Upon Dons' return, August 1967, he called and asked her out.
Their first date was dinner and a movie, it just steamrolled from that point until October 9, 1967 when he asked her to marry him and gave her a ring. She said yes!
We were married, Thursday February 1, 1968, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, by President McDonald. We were blessed to have our Parents and Grandparents with us for this very special ceremony. Several Aunt, Uncles and Dons' Twin Brother and wife.
As you may have already figured out, we will be celebrating our 40th anniversary in just four week.
We started our life together in a small duplex in Sandy, Utah and except for one short time in Bountiful, Utah we have always lived in the Salt Lake Valley. We have lived in Sandy, Union, South Salt Lake, Midvale, West Jordan, Riverton and South Jordan. We currently live in South Jordan, with Susans' Dad, on the property purchased by Grandma and Grandpa McKee in the 1930's .
This could be a very long story and is probably boring for most of you so I will quit for now. More to come as you share our lives with us from this time on.
