This is one Tradition I hope goes away

As we were leaving for church 8:30AM Sunday morning, We noticed the hoof prints in the snow. They tell a story all their own. But mostly they allert you to the fact the horses are out! The young ones again. They had simply walked out the man gate on the bottom of the pasture that because of the science of expansion and contraction, the metal fence has contracted in the cold and the latch no longer fits tight. Nellie found the gap and away she went. Naturally as it goes, her little brother had to follow. The hoof prints told a story of great adventures, down the lane around the Peach tree, under the Plum tree and even a little slip off the lawn into the north lane with a SPLAT.
The three of us were ready for church but the horses needed attention so out in the snow we went. Now we added our foot prints to the snow which told yet another story. Someone wanted us to continue on our way to church so there was no chase, just open the gate and let the now tired young ones back in for a little breakfast. I truly hope this tradition stops soon.

You really are troopers with those horses. This tells me the reason I choose not to have horses is a good one. We love you. Merry Christmas.
