Sunday "EARLY MORNING" Activity

For the last two weeks, Very early Sunday morning, we have be rudely awakened by the telephone ringing, only to be informed that Dad's young team is out.
Last week, November 30th, I made my Dad get up and chase them with me. It took almost an hour to settle the horses down and then repair fences. Then Dad slept through Sacrament Meeting. This morning at 4:30AM my cousin called and was rather rudely received because of some unusual calls we have gotten in the middle of the night, but that is another story completely, We are gratfeul that she sleeps with her window open and is still able to hear the horses, The three of us are very hard of hearing. We are even more grateful that they go down the lane to the barn and not up the lane to the road.
This morning We let Dad sleep, no need giving him an excuse to miss church two weeks in a row. The fences were fine, one of our young ones Ned or Nellie has found out how to open the gate. We will now go back to wiring or tyeing the gates closed. No matter who or what it take to open it at a later time.
That is one of reasons I am grateful the Horses are close. Also we live too close and I may not even get a chance to see Jamie otherwise. Thankyou Jamie for the Call
