New Callings, Sad releases!

I have officially been released from the Relief Board in our current ward. After 11 years. It was a sad day.
I have completely enjoyed the time with the various Presidencies and changes in the board members, It was a great run, but as someone once said. "Too much of a good thing, is not a good thing." or maybe is was "Moderation in all things." That sounds more like it.
Anyway, with releases often comes change, and my newest change is to Primary. I have been called as a team member and teacher for the "Sunbeam" class, with Julie Seegrist and Marilyn Hardy. The sisters I teach with are great, they have been at this for several years and know the lessons very well. I will try to be like them. The children are great, and we learn something from them every week.
Today in sharing time we had a lesson on modesty and what we should wear and how to take care of our bodies, then we were each given a paper doll to dress, "Modestly" It was a very cleaver idea and got the point over very well.

Our lesson in class was on forgiveness and one of the stories used was about Joseph and how his brothers sold him into slavery, and then how many years later Joseph had the oportunity to shun his brothers and pay them back for the mean way they treated him, but instead he forgave them and took them into his heart and home with full love.

If you are familiar with LDS visual art packets you will remember the picture of Joseph forgiving his brothers, Joseph is in full Egytian dress, "skirt, neck guard, wristbands, sandals and headdress," Sweet little Peter says, "How can he be a good guy and not be dressed modest?" Whether or not we got acrossed to Peter the theory of forgiveness is yet to be seen, but we do know, Sis Dean made a point about modesty he will remember. Thanks for listening to my ramblings. Hugs to all.

It takes a special person to be able to do sunbeams, and I know you'll do great! It is so great the church has things the same, we too had both those lessons.

Congrats, on belonging to the gospel of stand up and slide over a chair. Sunbeam teachers rock. They make all the difference in helping the kids love primary!
